Soapnuts are seeds that grow on trees in Nepal. The shell of the nut can be used as a natural soap, which is allergy free and perfect for sensitive skin. The seed of the nut is dried and made into jewelry by the woman’s small business association in Khare, Nepal. Embellished with silver, this product helps us connect with our helping hands across the world.

Sustainably grown in Nepal for centuries, this particular soapnut was harvested by leprosy individuals. Supporting this product helps support nonprofits in Nepal working towards cleaner water, health clinics, biodynamic farming, organic farming, pre-school education, orphanages, small business growth and sustainable building. For more information on the nonprofits or if you plan to visit Nepal and want to see our projects, please get in touch! We support the American nonprofit greenpillar.org and can help you help others!

Not only does buying this product help provide employment for village women in need, but promotes a regenerative way to use waste products and local plants into a beautiful and sustainable product.

To make the castille-like soap, just boil the nuts in water. The soap can then be used for anything from shampoo to washing floors. You can even do laundry with it by adding a few nuts to the included small cloth bag.
